JEE Main 2020 April Examination Details

In pursuance of MHRD letter no. Secy (HE)/ MHRD)/ 2020 dated 18th March
2020, the competent authority of the National Testing Agency has postponed the ensuing JEE Main 2020 April examinations scheduled on the 5th, 7th,
9th and 11th April 2020.
The New dates of JEE (Main) examinations will be announced on the 31st
March 2020.
Accordingly, the admit cards for the examinations which were to be issued
on 20th March 2020 will now be issued after 31st March 2020 only.
The candidates and their parents are advised to keep visiting
jeemain.nta.nic.in and www.nta.ac.in for latest updates. They are also being
informed individually through their registered mobile number/ email-id. The
candidates can also contact at 0120-6895200 for any further clarification.

JEE Main takes place twice in a year. National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct JEE Mains in April 2020 for the second time for 2020-21 session. The JEE Main 2020 application form for April session has been released on February 7. The JEE Main 2020 photo/image correction window is available on the official website. Candidates who want to take admission to BTech/BArch in IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology), NITs (National Institute of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institute of Information Technology), CFTIs (Centrally Funded Technical Institutions), etc. can apply for JEE Main April 2020.

The last date to fill and submit JEE Main Application Form has been extended untill March 12. JEE Main question paper of BTech will have the questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. In BArch/Planning question paper, questions from Mathematics, Aptitude and Planning based questions will be asked. JEE Main is considered as preliminary examination for admission in IITs. JEE Main Eligibility Criteria
Candidates can check the complete eligibility criteria in JEE Main April official notification. However, an overview of the required qualifications is also available in this section. Read the eligibility criteria in detail before submitting the application form. Non-eligible candidates should not apply, as their applications will not be accepted.

JEE Main Educational Qualification
A candidate should have passed Class 12 examination in 2018, 2019 from a recognized Board with 75% aggregate marks (65% for SC/ST) in a minimum of five subjects.
Candidates who have passed the exam in 2017 or earlier are not eligible for appearing in the exam.
Candidates who will appear in Class 12 examination in 2021 or later are not eligible.
Candidates who have passed Class 12 examination with four or less than four subjects are not eligible.
JEE Main Age Limit
There are no criteria of age limit for appearing in JEE Main examination. However, a candidate can sit in the exam for three consecutive years only. It means a candidate will get two chances in a year and six chances in years.

JEE Main Application Form
The application form for JEE Main April Session 2020 is available online at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The application procedure comprises of the various stages such as registration, filling of JEE Main online form, uploading the scanned documents, payment of the application fee, and downloading confirmation page. Candidates who have registered for JEE Main January session are not required to register again. Such candidates can access their account by using the old login credentials.

While filling the JEE Main application form, candidates have to fill personal details, academic details, communication details, guardian details, and exam centre preference. After that, candidates have to upload a photograph, which can be coloured or black/white and signature in the required file size, dimension, and format. Then make payment of the application fee online through Debit card/Credit card/Net banking/UPI/PAYTM
