The ongoing Kerala SSLC Exam 2020, plus two and plus one exams have been postponed in view of coronavirus outbreak in India that has infected 206 Indians and killed four of them.

The ongoing Kerala SSLC and plus two exams have been postponed in view of coronavirus outbreak in India that has infected 206 Indians and killed four of them. The Kerala secondary school leaving certificate or also known as SSLC exam that was scheduled from March 10 to 26 has been postponed.

Only three papers including Mathematical Science scheduled for March 23, Physics for March 24 and Chemistry for March 26 were left that have been postponed now. Revised schedule will be updated in due course of time.

Kerala plus two examination was also scheduled to end on March 26 that has been postponed. Moreover, the plus one exams have also been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Other university examinations have also been postponed.

Meanwhile, other board exams including CBSE, ICSE, MP Board, Telangana Board, Chhattisgarh Board, Punjab Board and Gujarat Board exam have also been postponed in view of the coronavirus pandemic.

Candidates are other public as well are advised to stay inside their homes and not step outside unless it is very urgent to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS)

The Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS) test is a shared entrance test for graduate programmes in Biology and interdisciplinary life sciences. The test originated from the TIFR annual entrance test for Biology, which was used by DBS/TIFR as well as NCBS/TIFR. The motivation for this shared test is to reduce the difficulties that students faced with multiple entrance tests, and to reduce the duplication of effort by many institutions in conducting such examinations. JGEEBILS is intended to serve as a common point for students from any science discipline or engineering to start the process to apply for biology graduate programmes around India. Participating institutions contribute questions and logistical support for conducting the examination. This year the examination will be on 8th December 2019.

Each participating institution has its own admission process and eligibility criteria. TheJoint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS) test is only one step in this. The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) (commonly referred to as SSLC) is a certification obtained by a student on successful completion of an examination at the end of study at the secondary schooling level in India. The SSLC is obtained on passing the grade 10 public examination commonly referred to as ‘class 10 board examinations’ in India. SSLC is a common eligibility examination popular in international markets many states in India, especially Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.

The Indian system of education fundamentally consists of five years of primary schooling, followed by five years of secondary schooling.[1] The SSLC must be obtained at the end of term of study at the secondary school.

On obtaining this certificate, the student is deemed to have completed his basic schooling or basic education. After successful completion of SSLC, a student wishing to pursue their education further joins a course based on the specialisation their choosing, which gives them knowledge sufficient to enter a university which is sometimes called a Pre-University Course (PUC), for two years. After this period of study a student may enter a university for undergraduate studies.

Alternatively, after obtaining the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC), a student may choose to attend an industrial training institute where one can be trained in skills necessary for technical occupations.[2] The other options include joining polytechnic for a three-year course of diploma in engineering and then further pursuing degree in engineering. After completing SSLC there is an option of joining vocational education courses. SSLC (or equivalent) is required nowadays to obtain a passport under Indian government for employment purposes.

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is the most coveted of all the law entrances in India after Class XII. CLAT journey started in 2008 and today more than 55,000 students write the entrance every year to secure a seat in one of the participating National Law University including NLSIU Bangalore-the Harvard of the East.

CLAT is conducted every year to select students for 22 National Law Universities in India, other than National Law University-Delhi, which has their own process to select the students.

CLAT is held by the Consortium of National Law Universities headed by NLSIU. TThe CLAT 2020 Exam will be held on 10th May this year with the registration ending on 31st March. The exam is held for admissions in UG and PG programs offered by the National Law Universities.

Before the introduction of CLAT, the autonomous law schools in India conducted their own separate entrance tests, requiring the candidates to prepare and appear separately for each of these tests. The matter drew national attention when a Public Interest Litigation was filed by Varun Bhagat against the Union of India and various National Law Universities in the Supreme Court of India in 2006. The Supreme Court of India mandated a common entrance exam for the then existent National Law Schools, and this judgement found animation in the form of the Common Law Entrance Exam or CLAT. Since then almost all National Law Schools, the notable exception being National Law University Delhi, admit students on their CLAT scores.

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is the most coveted of all the law entrances in India after Class XII. The National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad is a design school . Also in Bengaluru, Jorhat and Gandhinagar India. The other NIDs are in Kurukshetra (Haryana) and Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh). The institute functions as an autonomous body under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. NID is recognised by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research under Ministry of Science and Technology, government of India, as a scientific and industrial design research organisation.

National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad

As a result of the Industrial Policyof National Institute of Design (NID) Resolution of 1956, the government of India invited the design team of Charles and Ray Eames to recommend a program of design to serve as an aid to small industries in India. On the basis of their document, ‘The India Report’, the government of India set up the National Institute of Design in 1961 as an autonomous national institution for research, service and training in industrial design and visual communication. The Sarabhai family, especially Gautam Sarabhai and his sister Gira, played a major role in establishment of this institute.[4] Designer and sculptor Dashrath Patel was its founder secretary. He held the post till 1981, and was awarded the Padma Shri in the same year.[5]

The National Institute of Design, Gandhinagar is an extension campus of National Institute of Design, situated in the city of Gandhinagar. It provides postgraduate courses in Lifestyle and accessory design, New Media Design, Photography Design, Transportation and Automobile design, Apparel Design, Strategic Design Management and Toy and Game Design.[6]

The National Institute of Design Bengaluru Campus, located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, specializes in research and development activities related to design.

History
The Bengaluru office of NID was initially located at Rajajinagar and functioned as an interface to coordinate projects between the main institute at Ahmedabad and the technology industry which is centred on Bengaluru.

A campus was later planned to be built at Yeshwantpur, a suburb in Northwest Bengaluru. The new campus was built at a cost of 7.5 crores and was officially inaugurated on 31 March 2006 by Dr Darlie O’Koshy, who was the executive director of NID at the time.[7]

There are 3 main campuses including one in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Bangalore.

The campus is located in Peenya, 3 km (1.9 mi) from Yeshwantpur railway station on the arterial Tumkur Road (National Highway 4) that connects Bengaluru and Mumbai. The campus is in proximity to two other Central Government Institutes, Central Manufacturing Technology Institute (CMTI) and Indian Plywood Industries Research and Training Institute (IPIRTI), and is 5 km away from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) along the same road.

The Campus can be accessed by public transport buses operated by the BMTC from the junction of Outer Ring Road and Tumkur Road at Gorguntepalya or Peenya on Tumkur Road. The campus is also accessible by the Bangalore Metro and is located 100m from Peenya Metro Station.

Academics and admissions
The courses available to join at various campuses of NID include Bachelor of Design (BDes), Graduate Diploma Program in design (GDPD), Masters of Design (MDes), Doctorate of Philosophy(PhD) in Design, Foundation Courses are UG courses and International Programs through Research and International workshops. A total of 100 seats for undergraduate studies and 285 seats for post graduate courses are available across all campuses of NID.[citation needed]

NID’s entrance exam Design Aptitude Test (DAT) which is also popularly called the National Entrance Examination for Design (NEED) is a National level entrance exam organized for admission to UG and PG courses separately by NID each year. These exams for B.Des and M.Des exams are conducted in 12 exam centers across India.[8]

Industry and online programs
NID conducts workshops for industry professionals and students all year long. Some of these are for industry professionals only.[9]

NODE – NIDs Online Design Education

In December 2015, NID launched NODE (NIDs Online Design Education),[4][10] an online initiative which delivers self-directed and self-paced design classes from the faculty of the National Institute of Design to students across the country. Students need not be enrolled in NID, and must only pay a nominal fee, to take these classes. NID does not issue physical certificates on course completion. Only a digital certificate is issued.[11] The first course was launched on 23 December 2015, titled “Design Fundamentals”, and consisted of 47 online classes.

Dfrost
Dfrost is the annual design and cultural festival hosted by the National Institute of Design R&D campus, Bangalore. It is held around the 20th of March every year.[12]

National Institute of Design, Kurukshetra is under construction which was opened by Haryana CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda in 2012. The creation of four NIDs was suggested as part of the government’s 2007 National Design Policy.[13]

The foundation stone for National Institute of Design, Jorhat was laid by Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in February 2011,[14] while land has also been earmarked for the Telangana campus in the state capital Hyderabad.[13]

JAM Answer Key 2020 DETAILS

JAM Answer Key 2020 – IIT Kanpur has released official answer key and question paper for JAM on joaps.iitk.ac.in in PDF format for all the subject papers. Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM) is a national level test which is conducted to shortlist candidates for admission in M.Sc, Joint M.Sc-PhD, M.Sc-PhD dual degree. The JAM 2020 exam is for the subjects namely biotechnology (BT), mathematical statistics (MS), physics (PH), chemistry (CY), geology (GG) and mathematics (MA). Until last year, biological sciences also used to be a subject paper of the exam. Key dates of IIT JAM are given below.

After the exam is over, the conducting IIT releases the JAM Answer Key on the official website. The answer key is made available inside the login of the candidates. Via the answer key, the candidates can check the number of correct and wrong answers that they have marked in the examination.

To calculate the score using the answer key the candidates need to use the marking scheme of the exam, that is explained in the exam pattern section of this page. Firstly, provisional answer key is released which can be challenged. Once the challenges are considered and accepted, a final answer key is released.

The Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, will release the final JAM 2020 answer key anytime soon. Candidates who have raised the objections can check the final answer key of JAM 2020 at jam.iitk.ac.in. Earlier, the institute has closed the window for challenging the JAM answer Key 2020 on February 24 (5 pm). Candidates could contest the JAM answer key from February 21 (10 am). To do so, candidates could login into the JOAPS portal by entering their login ID and password. A processing fee of Rs.500 had to be paid for raising challenge (per question) through the online payment link available in the JOAPS portal, only then the objections are accepted by the Institute. IIT Kanpur will release the final answer key of JAM after considering all the valid objections raised by the candidates. The provisional JAM answer key 2020 was released on February 20, in online mode, at the official portal – joaps.iitk.ac.in. Candidates can check the provisional JAM answer key 2020 as per the different subjects separately via the links available on this page below. Along with the release of the JAM 2020 answer key, the authority released the subject-wise question papers of JAM 2020.

Earlier, the JAM 2020 response sheet was released on February 12. Candidates can check their responses to the questions asked in during the examination with the help of JAM response sheet 2020.
